Hello @Nanny B - there are quite a few LADAs on here, I'm sure some of them will be along soon.

In the meanwhile, welcome to the forum from a type 1 diagnosed as an adult - there are quite a few of us here too 🙂

Is there anything you're struggling with or need information about? Do ask, someone here is sure to be able to help.

Welcome @Nanny B.
I was told I was LADA but my consultant told me it is treated the same as T1, so not to bother with the distinction between the two. It is just that it takes a bit longer to get giong and the ‘honeymoon period’ lasts a lot longer. I still get steps up in my insulin needs, which I suspect is a result of another bunch of beta cells biting the dust. Whatever the reasons for changes, I know I need whatever insulin I need, so just increase the doses and get on with it now.
