Welcome to the forumHi all
Have been told I am pre- diabetic, finding the forum useful so far.
Yes you were just on the cusp so the dietary changes you have been making should make a difference. One thing to remember is that what you are doing needs to be enjoyable as it really has to become a new way of eating other wise you could find yourself back to square one. Walking is good exercise as long as it is brisk not just ambling about.Thank you
My HbA1c is 47 and I’ve been told im
pre diabetic following a blood test in July. I’ve made big changes to my diet - really
restricted the carbohydrates… I was a total bread addict. I have a lot of weight to lose but after seven weeks of low carb, and two meals a day of smaller portions, I feel good and know I have lost weight. The next step is exercising… which I hate. I’ve started walking and listening to podcasts and will take it from there.
Thank you

Congratulations @Flossup! Your hard work has certainly paid off. It’s great to hear that you feel so much better.I’ve just had my blood tests back - my HbA1c is now 40! I am so pleased with myself… I stopped eating bread, pasta, rice, pastry, potatoes - really restricted my carbohydrate intake and it worked. I feel so much better, no longer feel bloated, and it want nearly as hard as I thought it would be. Still a way to go…. But out of the pre diabetes range.
