I'm new to the site but definitely not new to diabetes. I was diagnosed when I was around 11 and I'm now 21 🙂 I'm heavily tatted and pierced so if anyone wants to ask how they affect you diabetes I'm more than happy to answer! I also work in a vets so I'm very obsessed with the diabetic little pets
Thanks for sharing some information about your diagnosis, it's helpful to know, and gives us a picture of your condition and you. Would you mind giving a little more information about which type you're living with, if you're comfortable doing so?
Do you mind if I ask why you have signed up today? Just that, if you do have any questions at all, we're all very happy to help.
It's also lovely to hear that you work with diabetic pets - I remember once holidaying and there were two ponies living with diabetes in the field opposite where we were staying - I wonder how many different animals can be affected by this?
Just checking in to say hello - the forum is a lovely community, we're always happy to support 🙂
How has your diabetes been treating you over the years? How did you find the transition from paeds to adult services? And do you still live in your family home? Or have you moved out to live independently? Pens or pump? Any sensors or fancy gadgets?
Don’t feel you have to answer any of our questions… and folks here ask a lot when trying to get to know someone..!
