Hi 🙂 everyone my names Jenny , ive been diabetic for 30 years , i got diabetes when i was 10 and now i dont know any different to be honest as ive had diabetes for longer than i didnt have ! I recently went on an insulin pump 3 weeks ago and so far i think its the best thing ive ever done 🙂

Well done for being able to cope with things that long!! I've heard lots of mixed thoughts about the pump ... I'm so pleased it's been working for you!! Will be good getting to know you around the forums!! XxXxX

What pump are you on? My son (12) has been on his pump for 1 year now and his hba1c has dropped from 9.6 to 7% and he loves it - wouldnt go back to injections for anything.🙂Bev
 
Hi Jenny, welcome to the forum 🙂 We've many 'veterans' here and quite a few pumpers so I'm sure you will be able to share experiences and tips! 🙂

I've had diabetes for 18 years and have been pumping for just over 1. The pump's made an enormous difference to my control and quality of life.
