Hi Everyone, i joined this community few days back, i am using freestyle libre 2 with nightrider blucon, has anyone used this combination? sometimes the sensor ends before 14 days and i need to get a new one, and there is a lag in readings like readings are missed at night time.

Well when getting them on prescription if sensors end early, you ring Abbott and they replace them having requested all the error info recorded on the reader/phone if you use the phone App they recognise. During the night, some nights I have gaps - normally caused by compression of the sensor by lying on it - and some nights I don't. Don't understand what you mean by 'lag' ?

I’m not sure Abbott are happy to replace sensors that are used with 3rd party stick-over devices I’m afraid. I think using with Blucon invalidates the warranty.

Especially with Libre2 as Abbott took legal action against the distribution of a hacked version of their software in order to get around encryption of the Libre2 data.

i meant to say that readings are missed sometimes say at night, 1:45am a reading then next reading after 40-45 minutes

i hope they took the permissions to use their data and give us readings and share data.

If it’s more than 8 hours before you scan again then the sensor will lose a bit of data because it can only hold 8 hours worth

Hi Charlie ive just applied for the Freestyle Libre 2 and looking forward to moving hate those finger pricks lol

Er, you do realise you can't completely avoid fingerprick testing? - eg when you have low BG or in double figures, cos it is less reliable then, and also for driving.
