Thanks for getting back!!Welcome to the forum @DiJay48
Well done on your successful 40 years of BG juggling!
We have a few long-term T1s on the forum, and relative beginners like me with only 30 years service.
Which insulin(s) are you using? Do you use pens or an insulin pump? Any fancy gadgets like a continuous sensor like Libre or Dexcom?
Has diabetes treated you kindly over the years?
I know the feeling!I have been well controlled with no issues at all apart from issues with blood and you think how the hell is it that high/low
If you are happy to do the work that is required to get the pump set to your needs it can be a indeed a game changer. I think the Libre gives you a very different picture from the the HbA1c and shows you what is happening in more detail, rather than just an average over three months. The pump can enable you to tweak things on the basal hour by hour, as well as enabling you to deliver bolus insulin in a variety of ways.Last year i decided to live on the edge and change from finger pricks to libre 2...total game changer,so thinking a pump could be the same!!
