Welcome back fairy Godmother :D. I had a diagnosis much like yours and I understand the relief, I was practically giddy when they told me I was type 1, could have kissed the consultant, after 12 months of feeling like death (not even warmed over!) it was blessed relief, think I probably would have done if I wasn't pinned to the bed by various drips and machines....poor chap he'll never know the joy of being snogged by me now 🙄
Hi Kookycat, it's great to have something that makes us feel well again, isn't it. Another thing I celebrate is glargine insulin - so many years of eating when the long-acting insulin told me to and not when I wanted to. The first time Lantus allowed me to go on a girlie shopping-mooch round town without grabbing a sandwich was wonderful.

Hi Hobie, and congratulations to you and all 'old timers' for still being here! There was a time when one hypo symptom made everything seem beautiful, significant, joyous - was a wonderful side-effect and compensation. What've been your best side-effects?
