Relationship to Diabetes
Parent
I am a mum of 2, my son is 5 and daughter is 2, my daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes this august following swine flu, we dont have diabetes in our familey so is a whole new life of do's and dont's. my daughter (Kaitlyn-Brook) has been so brave even im shocked at how good she is with having countless injections every day, my son has started to adjust, at first he would run out of the room and cover his ears and bury his head in his lap cause the injections would scare him (Jack is very protective of Kaitlyn-Brook) but now he will count to 10 with her!!
This is my first time on a site like this but am now starting to find myself strugling with everything so thought it was time for me to not feel so alone with this. Thanks for listening
Lisa

Hi Lisa, welcome to the forum🙂 Such a difficult time for you, I can only imagine, but we have some wonderful parents here with invaluable experience and advice so you are never alone. Any questions, frustrations - or successes! - just post away! Nothing is considered silly, the only silly question is the one nt asked (I once asked one about nostrils!)🙂
