Hi everyone. I'm still pretty new to living with diabetes — I was diagnosed with type 1 just about seven weeks ago, and I'm also quite young. It's definitely been a journey so far. I found this forum recently and decided to join so I can connect with others and find some support moving forward.

Hi @RichardT1 and welcome to the forum - its a great source of information from learning about others experiences - please share as much or as little regarding your diabetes as you feel comfortable with and don't be scared to ask any questions you may have (nothing is considered a "silly" question here - glad you have found us

Welcome to the forum @RichardT1 - and to the club that no one wanted to join!

How have things been going so far? Which insulin(s) have thay started you on? Have you been offered a CGM sensor?

Have you been given advice on adjusting your own doses, and working around things like exercise, activity, and alcohol?

T1 can be a pretty steep learning curve in the beginning. It’s a royal PITA much of the time, but it’s also something you can learn to live well with, and it shouldn’t stop you doing things you enjoy. Though some things may need a little more thought/prep than they used to 🙂

Welcome to the forum and a very steep learning curve. Good advice is here, remember no question to small, large or to silly. Look forward to hearing from you
Gail
