Hi everyone

have insulin and the needles for it, cartridges for my Accu-Chek mobile and the needle cartridge for that and atorvastatin every month, so out of interest what does that cost every month?
A cgm is only cost effective if you’ve been prescribed 8+ test strips per day, so 240+ per month. That will vary a bit by the exact meter but that’s what the guidelines are based on, as you still need some fingerpricks when using a cgm.

@rebrascora I had a text from the doctor saying I had to have a blood test for a liver issue in two months, but it is nothing to worry about. But you do don't you!
I have no idea why at the moment, I'm waiting for MyChart to be updated.
Several times in my diabetic years it has been questioned whether I am 1 or 2. The nurse says tests recently seem to say I'm a 2.
My diabetes was caused by severe trauma 25 years ago. There is no history of it in my family and back then I didn't know what it was! Three years after I was told I had diabetes. I was on the usual tablets and eventually added insulin. I'm now just on insulin and diet. Oh and walking!
