I have been T2 for around 4 years - I struggle to lose any weight and cannot get my glucose number to stay below 60. Any help would be greatly received. I'm not very active as I have a condition of spinal stenosis which limits my walking ability.
Hi, and welcome to the forum. The usual strategy for reducing BG is through a combination of diet, weight loss, being more active and medication but clearly two of those are an issue for you. What meds are you on and how's your diet?I have been T2 for around 4 years - I struggle to lose any weight and cannot get my glucose number to stay below 60. Any help would be greatly received. I'm on Metformin 4 daily, Sitagliptin, Gliclazide 120mg. My diet is good, i cook from scratch daily, fish, lean meat, always broccoli, and a few potatoes or jacket potato. I have an air fryer to cook certain foods. I have one round wholemeal toast & a crumpet for breakfast (dont like porridge or cereal) nor.eggs.Hi, and welcome to the forum. You do ned to be cautious then of going too low on carbs with those meds. Are you testing at home to see if the meals with potatoes and bread are being tolerated, I am always surprised how many carbs are in crumpets for something which is full of holes.I'm on Metformin 4 daily, Sitagliptin, Gliclazide 120mg.
