Welcome to the forum. Would you like to say a bit more about how you manage your condition, what your HbA1C is and what med and or dietary regime you have adopted.
Quite a few people do get pains and aching but that may not necessarily connected to diabetes. There are things like statins that can give people aches and pains, Vitamin B12 deficiency are a couple.
If people have reduced blood glucose quickly with the measures they have taken then sometimes it causes nerve pains.
Rubbing magnesium gel onto your legs can help.
There is also a condition called restless legs which usually is worse at night.
It is something that you should get checked out to make sure your blood flow is OK.

Hi and welcome from me too.

How long have you been diagnosed with diabetes and what is your management like? Keeping your Blood Glucose levels in range and as stable as possible will help if this is neuropathy you are suffering from. Some people find compression stockings help when in bed and there are specific pain meds for neuropathy like Gabapentin, if things get too bad. Have you spoken to your GP about the problem.... I know, not easy getting appointments these days! 🙄

Welcome to the forum @Russel

Yes it might be handy for forum members to learn a little more about your diabetes story so far. How ling have you been living with diabetes? And how have things been going?

Is it the lower legs where you get the discomfort?

Is it a tingling/burning feeling? Or more like a muscle ache?
