Hi there, Helen here. Diagnosed T2 this week with a low reading of 48 but am going to wait for a second Hb1AC test in October before getting too hung up on being diagnosed. In the meantime, I am focusing on healthy eating (reducing cards and general portion size) and making sure I get daily exercise. My BMI is 31 and I would benefit from losing a few kilos! I am also hypothyroid and suffer from high blood pressure, so focusing on healthy eating and exercise will be good. I am wary of strict diet and exercise regimes as I have suffered eating disorders in the past. I can get very hung up on numbers and targets as a way of maintaining the feeling of control and this does worry me. So it’s going to be slow and steady for me!
