Hi everyone. New here. Type 2 diabetic. Hbca1 on last check in sept was 47.March it was 54 so I am trying to bring it down out of the danger zone but trying my best.
Not working due to unemployed.always stressed. Need help and advice.

Hi @Don Vito and welcome to the forum. Lots of members on here who will be only too happy to try and help.

What sort of things are you trying now or are you starting from scratch?

Welcome to the forum Don, from a fellow T2.
You've already got a start going from 54 to 47. As far diabetics go, that 54 was relatively low (though still high).
I'd suggest self testing to see what affect food has on your blood glucose (BG) levels, along with any changes you make.
Keep a food diary, along with a record of your levels. Hopefully, after a couple of weeks, you'll start to see a pattern.
It's not food that raises your BG. It's carbohydrates in particular. Potatoes, paster (unfortuneatley since it's so cheap), rice bread etc. What affect these have varies.

So sorry you are stressed not unusual under present circumstances, If you don`t

Welcome to the forum @Don Vito

We have lots of friendly, helpful members for you to compare notes with and share the day to day delights and frustrations of life with diabetes 🙂

Well done on reducing your HbA1c to 47, down just below the cut-off which triggers diagnosis - so very much associated with reduced risk of long-term complications.

How have you been managing your diabetes so far? What changes have you made, and are there any things that you find particularly tricky?
