Hi Salb and welcome to the forum 🙂

I too have been struggling over the last few weeks - perhaps there's some kind of weird cosmic thing happening ?
Whilst I have been tempted to throw in the towel, I think we've just got to grit our teeth and go back to basics - simple, consistent food and lots of testing.

Good luck in your endeavours.

Welcome Salb.
How to cope with instability in diabetes? Well, as you're only a few months since diagnosis, you're probably still in the honeymoon phase, which means your pancreas is still occasionally and irregularly producing insulin, which does change things without giving warning. That phase will pass eventually.
Best tips I can give, are "don't be too hard on yourself" and "life is more than diabetes". Any questions, please ask - several of us were diagnosed type 1 as adults, so will be able to help - or at least, recount our experiences.

hi Salb.... I'm a type 2 so can't really help.... but welcome to the forum 🙂 .... I'm sure, whatever your questions, someone can answer

Hi Salb, and welcome to the forum.

I have been wondering about the effect the change of seasons has on diabetes as we have been having crazy fluctuations here, too.

Take care of yourself.

Hi Salb

diabetic since May 2010 and don't think I've managed to string together more than 4 days at a time of what you would call normal blood levels before there is a day with a hypo or high reading for what can appear to be no reason.

I saw a doctor at the hospital just over 2 weeks ago who told me to change my injection sites - I had been rotating around arms, legs, stomach. He recommended / advised that quick acting should be injected into the stomach area, and long lasting in the leg.

Since then my bloods have been all over the place - although the last 2 days have showed a distinct improvement (which coincided with me waking up and thinking I feel (unusually) good). Had been considering going back to old ways but will stick with the doctors advice if the improvement continues and put the earlier volatility down to a bug.....Will review with Nurse next week.

Welcome to the forum Salb 🙂
