Hello Carole, welcome to the forum.
Yes there are many years of experience available on the forum, and I hope some of it can be helpful for you.
Can you tell us a bit more about yourself? Do you know what your most recent blood sugar reading are? and are you following any particular eating plan at present.
If you browse around the forum you will find many different areas of interest. May be a good place to start is
useful-links-for-people-new-to-diabetes. (scroll down to type 2)
Are there any particular things you would like to know more about?
Anyway, I hope you enjoy the forum.
I am also a Type 2 and follow a low-carb diet, but there are many other choices, and everyone need to find what is right for them.
Best wishes, and please keep posting.

Hi Barbara, thank you so much. I have given some info in another reply so rather than duplicate, do have a look.Hi Carole and welcome from me too. Make yourself at home here. It is a great community with a huge amount of experience and knowledge of living with and managing diabetes, so I am sure you will get some helpful tips.
Are you on any medication at the moment and if so, what? Also telling us your most recent HbA1c will help us to know where you are on the diabetic scale and therefore tailor our advice accordingly. I am a type 1 diabetic but I also follow a low carbohydrate higher fat (LCHF) way of eating to help manage my diabetes and would advocate trying that if you haven't done so yet.
As the others have said. knowing why you are struggling will help us to help you, so any more information you can give us will be useful.
