Hi Tee G. Thanks for the warm welcome - appreciated! My diabetes has been generally well managed (+/- a bit - I am not always a model citizen 🙄), although following a non-diabetes related unpleasant tummy episode pre-Christmas I was moved off Metformin onto daily insulin injections (it appears the Metformin had contributed to the severity of my malaise). These appear to be working out pretty well for me - I was due to find out last week, but my 3 monthly review was cancelled the day before because the nurse had begun to self-isolate with COVID-19 symptoms (I followed her through the surgery door the week before while having my pre-review blood tests... 😳). Phil

Hi again, glad to hear things have settled down a bit after you Xmas episode.

Its a shame with this virus things going on at the moment that you didnt get to have your review done, but hopefully your daily observations will tell you how you are doing. Keep going, im sure you are on the right path. Hopefully you will have levelled off again now.

Well if your GP surgery is overdue getting their test results and other services online, they should still be able to give them you on the phone. Ours has the former but otherwise we can still ring on a Tuesday between 12.30 and 1.30 for them, as previously. NOT at other times though.

Hi trophywench, That's an idea and I may follow-up, although my levels have been consistently fairly OK(ish) - and I'm hoping (all being well) the nurse will be back safe and sound in a week or two and we'll be able to chat (via the phone 🙂 ).
