Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
I'm Krysia
Just been told that i have type 2 diabetes to add to my list of "little problems":D..
I also suffer from Fibromyalgia and the 2 do not go together well at all!, wondered if anyone out there has fibro and they can advise and help.
I can go for days without eating (not that the weight falls off mind you) then when eat feels like bricks have landed. But have been told and know eating habbits have to change, easier said than done.
Would be glad of any advice.. feel free to offer.
many thanks hugs to all

Hi Krysia

Welcome to the forum. I don't know anything about fibromyalgia, (just looked it up in a medical dictionary) but it sounds horrible. I guess eating little and often is the best option but i don't know
Maybe somebody will know more, never be afriad to ask a question.

Hi Krysia

Welcome to the forum x

thank you

Hi All
Thank you for your welcome messages.🙂

Fibromyalgia is a chronic painful condition where ALL your body hurts at the slightest touch even clothes can be unbearable at times. with fibro comes many many other delightful problems. i.e IBS too many to mention unfortunately... ops also fibro fog. (forgetting things expert at boiling eggs and leaving them to explode) This was brought on by an RTA whilst on duty as a district nurse. So thats a bit about that, hope I havent bored you all, just wondered if anyone around also had it and how they coped with Diabetes, and the food intolerance. sorry eating small amounts often doesnt help, I can go days without food stomach that bad at times..

Hope you all are keeping well and fighting fit.
hugs to all

That sounds like an awful condition Krysia, had heard of it before but didn't realise what effect it had thanks for posting! Is it now with you for rest of your life, or is it something that will settle given time? Please forgive my ignorance! Take care, lv shirl

Hi Krysia,

Yeah did get to look at website thanx, sounds like a truely awful condition and then to get the D on top of that, well . . . . . . not sure I could manage with both!!

How you getting on with the D now? I've hd T2 for 5 years and just starting on Insulin along with some of my previous meds! Things seem to change all the time, life is certainly never dull, and to think all I ever wanted was a quiet life!! Fat chance of that with an 18yr old and 21yr old (but love 'em to pieces).

If you need to talk please feel free to PM me anytime, will try my best to help 🙂 Take care, lv shirl x
