I have a question my 20 month daughter was diagnosed on 19 of October. She is on 0.5 unit of novorapid and 0.5 long lasting
Since yesterday she high like 15 16 during the night as well since today morning she stay high all the time a give her correction of 1 unit every 2 hours but it's doesn't work
I took her to doctor because he have temperature of 37 to 38.5 but doctor said that she fine
I'm wandering how long she can stay that high
I check her ketones she 0.1.

Hi Justyna, welcome to the forum 🙂 I'm sorry to hear about your little one's diagnosis :( The best person to talk to would be your DSN (Diabetes Specialist Nurse) as she should be able to advise what adjustments may be needed to her insulin doses. Unfortunately, we can't give medical advice. If you took her to your GP then he may not have sufficient knowledge about Type 1 to be able to advise. Are you able to quickly contact your diabetes team?

Ketones are fine at 0.1. Is she eating OK?

Yes I did talk with one of my nurse she say to just keep her monitor and give correction every2 hours but I'm was wondering how long she can stay that high as she been over 20 since 8am she drops to 15 and then coming back up again
Yes she it normal and drink plenty of water
 
Change to a new pen, preferably with a different serial number first thing tomorrow and see if that makes any difference. It is possible the insulin has been compromised on its way between Novo Nordisk and your fridge.

If it's not that and it still stays high you need to ring the nurse at the hospital again - she'll be expecting you to ring again if it doesn't work, anyway.
