Relationship to Diabetes
Type 1
Hi There

I have been Type 1 for 40 years now and it still does my head in. I don't like it and feel that it controls my life anyone else feel the same????

Hi Chris, welcome to the forum 🙂 I am sure, having read many similar posts here over the years, that you are not the only one! 🙂 How have things been for you?

Hi Chris

Welcome to the forum. Another one from the class of '78 with @Flower and myself (no doubt others on here too).

Sorry you are feeling this way. If you have a mooch around the forum you will see that you are definitely not alone. I think we all do at times, it would be odd if we didn't. I like to think diabetes and I muck along together most of the time, but we have our moments of falling out. As we have to do certain things routinely, think ahead and can't always be spontaneous...it's like a framework to our lives...but I'm in control...well that's what I tell myself.🙂

Maybe you'd like to tell us a little more about yourself (or not) 🙂

Hello Chris and welcome, glad you found us 🙂

Ah the class of '78, one injection per day, 100g of carbohydrate in 10g exchanges and no idea what in range blood glucose levels meant for a good few years to come. 🙄

Like you I have my fallouts with diabetes, it turns me into a swearing, bad tempered ogre then occasionally I have a good day when all seems alright with the world. 🙂

Hi Chris, welcome to the group

Welcome to the Group Chris. I am sure you will find lots of help here. I am afraid I cannot help much though as I do not know anything about Type.I. Pre-diabetic at present, again, after getting out of it once.
