Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
I am new on the site and i really need some support. I was diagnoised as type 2 in 2008, my doctor wanted me to go on tablets but agreed we could try diet first, that was fine but the nurses argued that i am not diabetic, however my HbA1c came back good last year and the doc is happy for me to continue. I see by another thread here that there is the notion of not eating to many carbs but i find i am the other way if i dont eat enough of them then my sugars go low and i feel really ill until i bring them back up again. I could really do with a bit of help.

thanks

Dear lits34,

Welcome to the forum, the symptoms you describe are really strange. Do you measure your blood glucose levels - if so, what reading do you class as low? If you have been running high blood sugars lowering them by reducing carbs can make you feel dreadful it may not really be low it just feels like it!

Warmest Regards Dodger
