Hi All,
I have not been with the community here since before the pandemic. Many of us panicked for lots of reasons and it raised my anxiety to watch the influx of 2020.
Of course I shouldn't have stood away for 2 years - because guess what... my numbers have rocketed.
So I unburied my head from the sand, printed out all accountability sheets I need (food diaries etc.) and am fully hitched up again.

I have already read several helpful forum threads and am off to the Learning Zone to give myself a good talking to (just as the new T2D nurse did) < now I understand those posts about Diabetic Teams/Support/or lack of... my whole team changed in Covid and this was my 1st face to face since the pandemic.

Hope you're all well.

This sounds very good and positive. Well done for picking up the reigns again. That takes a lot of courage.

All positive (but harder work (but better health and general wellness)) going forwards.

Good luck and let us know how you get on on a regular basis.

Lovely to see you posting again @Neens

Sorry to hear how the chaos and anxiety of the pandemic years have affected your diabetes, but great that you are refocussing on getting your levels in a place you are happier with.

Don’t be hard on yourself - the pandemic was an unsettling time for all of us, and what’s more important is that you’ve decided to make some positive changes to your diabetes management.

Hello Neens, lovely to see you again 🙂

Welcome back @Neens .
Very pleased that you are posting again, after a very confusing time for us all over the last couple years

Thanks for these kind responses.... here we are a couple more years and a lot more + numbers.... back to try again!

Welcime back back @Neens

How have things been going?

Hi @everydayupsanddowns - I have not been controlling my T2D well at all. My team has changed and I am currently trying to get back on track. I have managed to reduce my Hb which went back up to 97. Now at 87 (only a few months between stiff talking to and now). I am having additional medication introduced and am not in a positive mental headspace. But hoping this first step back into the forum will help. I gained a lot of knowledge and support here before.

Huge congratulations on reducing your HbA1c! Especially if you’ve not had a very clear head of late.

Be kind to yourself, and keep sharing your struggles and asking questions.

We are all rooting for you 🙂
