Hello everyone 🙂
I came here in 2012 when I was first diagnosed, got some really useful links from a couple of you here, changed the diet and was successful for a while.
I'm Latina, born in Argentina grew up between there and Brazil, my husband (who has Multiple Sclerosis and Dementia- living in a home for quiet a long time now) and 22 years old daughter are British, next year will be my 30th anniversary as an adopted Londoner, if you would like to know more, I found the original thread where I introduced myself HERE.

I have an amazing GP who has been saving me against the system which seems to be determined on killing me - not joking- I have Heart Failure because of (though they aren't sure) an "overlooked viral infection" - and after almost 2 years of my GP and myself trying to get the referral the Cardio consultant suggested to her, to look into the kidney side of things.... I only got the appointment 3 weeks ago, and, hey... I'm half way down to Kidney Failure.
So I decided to get very serious about this whole thing, came here and found amazing features in the site and also great recipes, I was amazed that every question I asked in the search had a great answer, still, I thought I come say hi and be social 🙂

I'm on Metformin now, plus tons of other meds for my other conditions apart from the two above and diabetes, main one nerve damage, all together resulting chronic pain for the past 15 years, 24/7, 90% of my time bed bound.
I'm now gonna leave you as my intention was to just say hi and not bore you with lengthy stuff and I went way further than that! LOL
I'm really grateful for all the info in the site and the ease of navigating, hope to be able to stay social this time 🙂

thanks!!! I'm already regretting not have stayed the first time, just reading a few threads I learned quiet a lot of helpful stuff!!! 🙂

Hi @MrsPeel, welcome back 🙂 Very sorry to hear about the problems you are experiencing, but good to hear you have a good GP fighting your corner 🙂

Hello and welcome back. It sounds like you have an awful lot to contend with, but come across as a survivor. I am sure we can all learn a lot from you.

Hello Mrs Peel, welcome back I`m sure you can be an inspiration to us all.

Welcome back, Mrs Peel.🙂
