Hi
Im new joined today.Ive just been diagnosed diabetic. I accidentally chewed my metformin slow release this morning...no no I know now. Feeling nausea...wondered if anyone has done the same?

The only reason why you don't chew them is because the coating protects your stomach. Presumably the reason why you are on slow release is because the regular Metformin upset your stomach or lower digestive system, so you will likely experience the same as if you had taken regular Metformin.
It won't poison you or anything, but you will have breached the protective coating which makes them easier of your digestive system.
