Hey all,
My name is Ricky and I have been a Type 1 diabetic for five years now. I live in South Wales. I have had a fairly easy run with diabetes until very recently, hence my reason for joining this forum. During the snow this past week, a short walk to work has proven fairly costly with the rapid onset of neuropathy in my left leg, particularly in my foot. This health scare has made me jump into finally controlling this thing!
I have a son and another son on the way and want to do everything possible to get my health better so that I am more likely to be around for them and in the best health possible for the future. This is mainly because I lost my father when I was very young and I don't want to leave my sons and wife in the same position.
