Good morning everyone, I hope you are well.
Just thought I would introduce myself. My name?s Andrew, I'm 29 year old from Leeds, I have had T2 for just over 6 month's now and so far I have been able to stay away from medication.
My last HBA1C was 6.8, down from 9.9 on diagnosis so I?m quite happy with the way things are going so far. It was no real surprise that I was diagnosed since my Dad is T1 and his Dad was T1, I suppose the only real surprise is that I'm T2 and not T1. With my Dad having T1, I have always tried to look after myself - apart from on a Friday and Saturday night, lol! - so diabetes isn't much of an issue for me, its more of an annoyance if you know what I mean.
I have been registered on other forums for a while but they all seem to be full of too much doom and gloom and after reading a number of threads on here, you all seem pretty chilled. So I'm hoping that during those hard times that we all get (right?), that I can get some kind of positivity from you guys and hopefully, in time, help out you guys too.
Take care
Andrew
