Type 2
I was diagnosed with Type 2 in 1998, and manage ok with basal - bolus of Glargine and Novorapid, and metformin 3x daily
No problems with injecting which I do fairly on schedule
No problems with finger pricking as such, but I'm fairly lazy and don't do it as often as I should
I also take lisinopril to control blood pressure
I used to take a statin to control cholesterol, but got awful side effects after several years - tiredness and aching legs - so I've stopped

Problem is I'm overweight by one or two stone and can't seem to lose it. Whenever I try to diet I go into hypos. Thought I'd try a forum for a bit of encouragement and suggestions

I'm 63 and something of a technophobe; just got my first computer a couple of weeks ago, so apologies in advance if I don't follow the accepted procedures, or delete half the threads or something!

Hello and welcome to the forum 🙂 I can assure you if no one else has managed to delete half the threads then you wont succeed :D

Has anyone explained to you the need to reduce your insulin when dieting? Less food and or more exercise equals less insulin required.
