Hi jyd, welcome to the forum 🙂 That is a high HbA1c, have you been given any medication to help get your levels under control? Have you been diagnosed long? Most salad items and vegetables (except potatoes and parsnips) are low in carbohydrates, so won't raise your levels by much. Do you test in order to find out how different meals are affecting you?

I find it is not always that you can't eat something's it can be how much and what else you have with it.

Hi, welcome.
Do you mean you've been told you haven't to eat carbs? How ong have you been diagnosed? Are you on any meds? Do you have any previous hba1c?

When I was diagnosed my HbA1c was at 127. Im back next week to see if its come down. I still eat pasta, bread, rice and potatoes just not as much as I used to. Hope you manage to get everything sorted. This forum is a great place for help and advice.
