... it does seem that changing to lantus may help to solve the problems...
Hi bev, I've only ever been on lantus, and as you've probably read in some of my previous threads I did have some problems getting the dose right so I didn't hypo in the night. However, now that I seem to have the right dose I am very steady through the night (and the following day, unless I mess up my bolus!). It can sting a little due to the way it is formulated (see my post 'Lantus and Levemir - how they work' http://www.diabetessupport.co.uk/boards/showthread.php?t=1719 ) but it's not that bad and doesn't always.
Of course, I am a 50-year-old man and Alex is a young boy, so his experiences may be radically different to mine, but I do hope you get something sorted soon.🙂
