I am in need of advice please. For almost 3 days I have suffered from what I think is trapped wind that allowed me no sleep no rest. Today it is easing a lot but I've eaten nothing all day, drank lots of peppermint tea. Just taking a reading and sugar levels are very high 15.8. Is this anything to worry about? I am 74 been type2 for over 30 years and now keep it in control with medication. Any words of wisdom appreciated

So, question - how much pain are you in? I know I thought I was having a heart attack, was literally doubled up with pain and dialled 999, half an our later I literally crawled to and sat on the loo and passed the most enormous fart with no follow-through - and immediately started feeling better, just as the ambulance arrived. Felt such a pillock - but they were lovely and stayed with me till my BP had started to reduce, cos it was through the roof when they first arrived. However - another friend had the same symptoms, was 999'd off to hospital - and had a twisted bowel they had to operate on. So - if it ain't sorted naturally before tomorrow morning - at least dial 111 if not 999.

not enough pain to be really worried but enough to make me very uncomfortable. Had heartburn before but a couple of indigestion tablets usually work, not this time . Constantly burping but no relief. A bit light headed with lack of sleep now

Sip boiled water as hot as you can stand it. That usually does the trick for the lovely Jane when she feels bloated.
Like Jenny said, don't let it go on, if it isn't ok at the end of today call a medic.

I just love your straight to the point talking @trophywench 🙂 .

Have you tried Wind ease from the pharmacy it breaks the wind down into small bubbles so it can pass out the appropriate hole.

How are things today @Cairie - any relief yet?
