Now I have finally given and bought testing strips it seems I have forgotten how to use my meter which has lain unused for over a year. I can't find the instrction booklet so am wondering if anyone has ann Aviva Nano and can tell me where I'm going wrong? I have wasted two strips already and they are so expensive especially when you're on a pension and not a full pension at that! I have the date and time at the top of the screen, then a flashing testing strip at the bottom of the screen, but when a strip is inserted nothing seems to be happening, the strip stops flashing...And yes, I have pricked finger etc....I go away soon and really wanted to be able to test myself while in a strange country. Should I just buy another meter- its another expense I can do without though.

just a thought

My son uses the nano machine, just a thought have you placed the new code chip in the left hand side

Oh yes I have inserted the chip.. I really can't think what is going wrong...:(

Not 100% familiar with the Nano, but have a look at the website, it has a quick reference guide and an interactive demo.

If you need to get another meter, just ring up Accu-Chek and tell them it doesn't work - they'll most likely send you one free of charge. You should never have to pay for a meter - these things probably cost the manufacturers about a tenner to make and they'll recoup all those costs with the profit off one pack of test strips. They give these meters away like sweets if you tell them you test 10 times a day.
