Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
I am type 2 diabetic and according to the government I am more at risk of getting complications if I was to contract caronaviras.
They state that we should avoid public transport if possible the problem I have is that I am a London bus driver and the only way for me is to self isolate and financially this is not an option as if I self isolate I would only get ssp.

I think the bus company should be on top of what your options are. It is probably better to refer your question to them and also keep an eye on all the government messages. There is certainly, potentially, more than just statutory sick pay available during this very peculiar time we are living in. But I am not clear on the specifics (mainly because it doesn't apply to me as I work from home for a living).

I‘m not sure either @Andy HB , but I think there was mention of PAYE people possibly being able to access 80% of their salary.

Im sorry about the situation you are in @perry. It must be very worrying for you. I think the risks to people with well managed diabetes are at elevated level of risk, but the vast majority of people with diabetes would only have a mild case of Coronavirus if they became infected.

I can see that would only be cold comfort though :(
