At risk of diabetes
Hello
I have not been diagnosed with diabetes but mealy all my family suffer with it

I have been suffering extreme thirst and tiredness. I have just done a blood glucose monitor and I'm 10.5 mmol. I ate an hour ago, is this OK. Many thanks

Test again at 2hrs @Clair Ray and at 3hrs if you can and post here. People without diabetes sometimes go up to the 10s. If you’re concerned about diabetes, you’ll need an HbA1C blood test from your arm at your GP’s. That’s the diagnosis process. The glucose meters aren’t really to diagnose, more to monitor people already diagnosed with diabetes.

When you do your next blood test, wash your hands first to make sure they’re clean. That way you’ll know no tiny food particles or the like have ‘contaminated’ your test.

Hello @Clair Ray ,

Thank you for joining our online community forum. If you are having those symptoms, I would highly encourage you to speak to your GP and mention your symptoms.
