Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
Hi type 2 for years under control I quit smoking stopped drinking watched my diet and hav put weight on and now need basal bolus. Insulin so feeling pretty fed up having said that my healthcare team are brilliant

Hi Kdwiqc, welcome to the forum 🙂 Sounds like you have done what you can to try and get good control of your blood sugars, but please don't feel that needing to use insulin is somehow a failure on your part. People's experiences of diabetes vary enormously as it is an extremely complicated and individual condition, so whilst some may be lucky enough to control things without medication, or with a few tablets, in some the pancreas is simply unable to supply sufficient insulin to stay at healthy levels.

Sounds like you have a great healthcare team, so I am sure they will help you every step of the way 🙂 If you have any questions about anything, please do ask! 🙂

hello welcome from me ...good luck with you new meds ...have a good look around and remember no questions are regarded silly here 🙂
