My insulin requirements are high as I am heavily pregnant and usually I inject before meals, but thismorning I had wanted a big breakfast and was not sure how much I would eat so I decided to eat first and then I would carb count and inject humalog after. However much to my horror my insulin had completely run out! Usually I notice this & I take it out the fridge night before! I took another cartridge out the fridge 20 mins ago but am now not sure if its ok to inject yet? but I have to go out soon and am worried about very high blood sugars if I dont. Please advise? thanks x

It will be absolutely fine 🙂 The only reason they say it should be taken out beforehand is that it might sting a bit when injected (although it usually doesn't - I've done this loads of times 😉)

Great thanks! Phrew.. I eat half hour ago so will do it now! Just when I think I'm getting to grips with it, something like this throws me! ;0) thanks 🙂
