This is an organisation for carers. There is funding available to help with lots of things. They are paying for me to have a maths tutor as i am rubbish at maths and need it for the pump. They will also pay if i want a massage or meditation etc. There is funding that is going unused because people dont ask for help.
It is also for siblings of a special needs child and also children whose parents have health problems and they help out more than their peers. They are considered carers if they help to calm a child down or read to them etc. They will pay for holidays for the sibling to give them a break and any other sort of help that may make their lives a little easier. I think (?) they are a nationwide organisation as its the Princess Trust.

If you dont ask - you dont get - and its our right as carers to claim.

They are coming to see me this morning to help me complete a claim for the 'higher' rate of DLA as they think we are entitiled to it.🙂Bev

Hi bev, I moved this to athread of it's own as it may be missed in the other thread and is very useful! Hope all goes well - I'll be setting a maths quiz for next week🙂

i used care for the cares they helped me with the blue badge and if i wanted for the carers allowance i have got also an emergency card in case something happen to me somebody going to get graham but for special club for children the waiting list is so long that i only called and i have not any reply for 2 years so i pay for the club on school holiday but they really helped me

I asked and I didn't get. They were absolutely useless so I just don't bother now. Bev, you have a great place in Swindon, down in Eastbourne, my local one, it is just not the same here unfortunately. :(

Any organisation that helps carers is worth highlighting, thanks Bev and others.

🙂
