There was a post a little while ago about substituting something else (?sprouts are in my memory 😱) for potatoes in a stew, but I can't remember who was the poster, and I can't find it.

Can anybody help please?

I have a vague recollection of the same , if it wasn’t sprouts it was something odd. I’ll have a search and post here if I find it

I put butternut squash and swede in mine. Squash is quite sweet and good colour too.

Top right of page, under orange Donate, there's a search function. There's several things you can search on.

We plan to try it, and hopefully will manage to....

I'm not a cook (Mr Marten is a bit better than me) and we both keep forgetting to get the ingredients for recipes we have collected but not got around to doing...🙄

was suggested to me I replace potatoe in shepherds pie with cauliflower; I suggested swede carrot mash! no potatoe involved.

Radishes, swede, carrots?

I must admit, I eat all of them, but why is the first post to newbies usually advising against any root veg on a low carb diet?
I've never needed to do that, as I used to test the results, and soon saw most things were different.

I think it’s because some root veg is more carby , personally I have no problems s with carrots , swede or turnip, but I know others do.
