Found this and signed up so am spreading the word: Help beat diabetes

Help Diabeates is an NIHR Diabetes Research Network (DRN) initiative. The aim is to encourage people with diabetes to get involved with research.

Please complete the form on the right to be contacted by the Help Diabeates team about taking part in future diabetes studies.

Diabetes is a common life-long condition and there are 2.8 million people in the UK who have been diagnosed with diabetes with around 800,000 more who have the condition but don?t know it. By 2025, it is estimated that over 4 million people will have diabetes.

Diabetes research aims to:

Find new ways to treat diabetes and its conditions
Prevent diabetes from developing in the first place
Ultimately find a cure for people who already have diabetes

I signed up this morning and got a call about 15 mins ago letting me know that I can take part in research that is applicable to me. A bit far fetched to think I'll be part of a cure, but I'd like to think I can help get closer! 🙂
 
Hi Mr p. I had a quick look for this & couldnt find. Like you i think if we all try to do something to help its better ! Can you put a site address up please. 🙂

Got an Email from these today. News letter really but looks good. As mr P said sign up & see if you can help 😎
 
If everyone gets signed up we could make some improvements. Live on the Edge !😱
 
But only if people get funding to do any research, Hobie.

I've volunteered with all sorts of organisations till I'm blue in the face and never been picked for anything remotely involving diabetes !
