Hellooo from a T2

Hi everyone 🙂

Im new to these boards although have been diagnosed for nearly 2 years.
My Dr advised me to come and find some online forums for help and advise as she couldnt really help me out too much apart from telling me that my yearly test results are good.
Since diagnoses I have just felt a bit like they gave me this lovely present and then said go deal with it yourself! I had a different Dr this year which was great as she was really helpful and sat down and talked to me about the way Im feeling and pointed me in this direction.

Anyway hopefully being amongst you guys will help as I dont have any with diabetes to talk to currently. And Im sure I will be asking some really daft questions!!

Hi Starbanana, welcome to the forum!🙂 Good to hear of a doctor that has actually heard about forums! You'll find this a very friendly and supportive place, so don't be afraid to ask anything you want, however 'silly' it may sound - there are no daft questions here! (an example, I once asked a question about nostrils!)

I think that it's a good thing that diabetes is such a self managed condition. What happens is really on us and that means we can take control and day to day make decisions about our health. Sometimes that can be a bit overwhelming but overall I think it's a good thing.
