sorry to hear of your dx ...but you've found the right place to be ..and remember no question is regarded silly here !🙂

Hi Shirl, welcome to the forum 🙂 Things can take a little while to settle down after diagnosis, so hopefully your levels will be more stable soon. I assume from what you say that you are testing regularly - this will be the best way of determining what foods you can tolerate best and what are to be avoided. There are some strategies for testing in the 'Useful Links' thread, plus the book by Gretchen Becker is a 'must read'! 🙂

Please feel free to ask any questions you may have - nothing is considered 'silly' and everyone is very friendly and helpful!

Hi Shirl,

I have only been on this board for a short while but everyone is so nice and helpful, and they answer questions wisely and quickly 🙂 I was diagnosed at the beginning of October last year, I am , apparently doing well with metformin , diet and exercise.

Nice to meet you 🙂

Love your name ShirleyWhirley :D

Welcome to the forum. Its a great place to come for help and support.

I was diagnosed in September and currently just on diet and exercise. My levels are now in a lot better place but still room for improvement 🙂

Gretchen Becker book explains things really well

Hi Shirleywirley.

I'm relatively new, diagnosed in November and on Metformin, diet and exercise. Doing reasonably well but always room for improvement.

You will find the help and advice here to be second to none and there's a genuine feeling of camaraderie amongst the forum members. Everyone is so friendly and informative. No question is deemed silly! Believe me, I've asked loads!

Welcome,
Donna 🙂
