Relationship to Diabetes
Type 1
Hi all, I’m new here but diagnosed 13 years ago I’m trying to connect with people who understand what daily life with Type 1 is all about and research other people’s experiences as I’m thinking about pregnancy in the next 12-18 months… please be kind and say hello if you’re in the same boat as me!

Hi @Em89, afraid I'm not in the same boat (pregnancy boat sailed decades ago!) but I thought I'd say hello anyway 🙂 I know there are are people here who will know what you're going through and I'm sure they will be along soon with some support and help.

Welcome to the forum @Em89

So glad you have found us!

Diabetes can be a frustrating, fickle and isolating thing to experience, and it’s very possible to go decades without ever really meeting or connecting with anyone else with the condition. Having a crowd of others facing the sane challenges, and treading the same path can be a huge help.

We’ve had many successful forum pregnancies over the years, so to stop by the Pregnancy section for some support and encouragement 🙂

Welcome to the forum @Em89

Sorry not to be able to help with any advice regarding pregnancies with T1, but aware that there is lots of experience to tap into on here around that, as well as the link Mike has given you.

Keep in touch and let us know how you get on.
