Welcome @Sue@cadran 🙂 You might like to change your avatar details which show you as a carer/partner as it’s always helpful to show your ‘type’ there. When were you diagnosed and what insulins do you take? A Type 1 diagnosis is always a shock and a lot to get used to.

Do feel free to ask anything you want. There are no silly questions here 🙂

Good morning @Sue@cadran from another late starter with T1 (aged 53)

Is this a recent diagnosis? If you would like to tell us more about how your diagnosis came about and how you manage your diabetes, such as which insulin(s) you are using, that will help us to focus our answers.

There is lots of experience and support to tap into on here. Any questions you have just ask. No questions are considered silly on here.

Hi Sue and welcome from me too. It’s a bit of a shock to be diagnosed with T1 later in life, but in a way I feel grateful for having so long when I didn't have it and also it came at a time when I was perhaps more prepared to manage it, than if I had been younger. It does get easier.

Just ask as many questions as you like, no one regards questions as silly here.
