Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
Hi, I'm Debra, Debby, either way. I'm not new to diabetes as I was diagnosed I'm 1998. I'm new to this forum though. I have type 2 and on insulin and metformin. I'm looking for info on how to reduce my sugars as I'm always running high. Nice to be part of the group!

It might be more problematic with you needing insulin - the usual way a type two reduced blood glucose is to reduce carbohydrate intake.
Are you on a set regime of doses and the carbs in your meals?

Welcome @debrah61 🙂 What insulins are you taking and when? When you say you’re running high - how high?

I am glad that you have found us.

If you can let us know whether you are on fixed doses of insulin, or ones that you adjust to match what you choose to eat, that will help us advise you in some strategies. Also as @Inka says what people consider as ‘high’ varies. Let us know what you mean by this.
