Just diagnosed under a year ago - haven’t been out clubbing since diagnosed. How do people carry needles etc out with them - do you take a bag or do you just give to friends? Are places okay with it or do you have to call ahead

Welcome to the forum @MattDean0603

It’s a while since I went clubbing tbh, gigs and concerts are more my thing.

How long do you usually stay out? And which insulin(s) are you thinking you might need?

It may be that a BG meter would be more important, and less potentially misconstrued? However there is no reason why you shouldn‘t have access to your meds if you need them.

Remember that you may be being quite active dancing, so you‘d need to watch for hypos *especially* if you were drinking any alcohol, which would potentially both reduce your BG, while simultaneously limiting your capacity to notice and changes.

You might find it gives you peace of mind to carry a letter from a healthcare professional which confirms your need to carry your insulin pen etc. And to have a brief chat with the door staff maybe?

Enjoy yourself!
