New here, just passed to say Hi! and introduce myself.
Type 2 Diabetic, taking Metformin daily and Trulicity (1.5) weekly.
Lately I'm having trouble in keeping my BG in acceptable levels.
I decided to make the move to FreeStyle Libre yesterday to see if i can identify any situations that can cause this issue.
Any help is always welcome!

Hi Makangsi,

Welcome to the forum. Getting the Libre was a good call as many find that it gives them a good insight into what to do to manage their diabetes.

You may need to cross-check it with finger pricks every now and then, especially at the beginning, as the results aren't as instantly accurate and come with a margin of error but you'll get to understand what the readings mean for you.

You mentioned having trouble with your BG levels recently, has there been any changes, the vaccine or anything that might have made an impact?

Hi Cherrelle!

I took the Vaccine second dose back in February, so I do not see any relation to that.
The only thing that was upsetting me lately was a toxic boss that made me quit my job and return to my home country.

One thing i have noticed is that the last two Trulicity injections seemed to have no effect on my levels. Usually they would made the BG drop but the last two weeks, no effect.
I also suffer from neuropathy and i can "feel" my feet more during sleep.

Welcome to the forum @Makangsi

Sorry to hear that your levels have been playing up recently :(

What is the weather like in Doha at this time of year? I’ve not got personal experience of trulicity - does it have to be stored in the fridge like insulin? Just wondered whether it may have become compromised and ineffective?

Do you have a different Trulicity pen(?) you could try?

Hello @everydayupsanddowns ,

Trulicity has to be stored in the fridge, but they say it can be kept during 15 days at room temperature. When I travel a get a thermal bag to put it and keep it in my suitcase (this is what I will do when returning to Portugal next month). After arriving I put it in the fridge again.
Here i Doha, the temperature now can reach 45 C during the day, so I don't risk to have it outside the fridge.

I have a different pen (they are sold in boxes of 4) but i have to leave a gap of 4 days (the ideal is taking one shot weekly).
My next shot if Friday. I will keep an eyes on it.

Thank you very much for your answer.
