Thanks for allowing me to join. I was diagnosed only in the last few days so it's all new to me. So I am sure some questions will start coming from me soon.

It's sad to see so many people are also suffering with this disease, but it is also a relief that there is a community which seems so helpful.

Hi and welcome. You'll find lots of helpful people and information on this site. The online training course is good, but I suggest you just so one section a day, so it can all sink in. Most posts go on the General Message Board, but it would be helpful if you could include some information about yourself. That way people could tailor their replies to you. If you look at my signature below, you will see it gives my HbA1c history, my medication, my weight and blood pressure.
For most of us, the diagnosis of Type 2 is a wake up call, but with a healthy diet and exercise, it can be managed. The top of the Newbies section will give you links, but I'm sure many people will come along and give you helpful information. Best wishes

Welcome to the forum @diatribe

You appear to be posting from Luxembourg. Just bear in mind that almost all of the content posted on the forum is from a UK perspective, so may not apply in your country 🙂

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I am aware there are probably some differences, probably more in terms of medical services etc. Hopefully though the general advice should be ok.

Welcome Diatribe! Yep, the medical side may be different but general things like what to eat and testing should be the same.

Please do let us know if you have any questions and feel free to share a bit more about you when you feel comfortable to do so.

I've answered on the other thread - welcome to the club no-one wanted to join! Some lovely folk in this part of the club anyway ......
