Welcome @Corghipax 🙂

How long have you had diabetes? There are a few Type 3c people here 🙂

Welcome to the forum @Corghipax.

Tell us a bit about yourself concerning your 3c condition, as @Inka has said a few T3c`s members on here.
Our current go to person is @eggyg but she is on holiday at the moment so won`t tag her but she is still in
touch daily so may pick up your post.

Hi
diagnosed with type 2 when called in for a heath check at the age of 50. over the years struggled with keeping the glucose levels low, then started losing a lot weight, sent for MRI and CT scans, and of course the dreaded camera down the throat, out come of all that was diagnosed chronic pancreatitis (type 3c diabetes mellitus) known as T3cDM hence why I tick the box when joining this forum type 3c,
still..albeit..I'm still active. still working although now semi retired, I do struggle at times... but I keep smiling 🙂

Hi and welcome from me too.

Don't worry about replying individually to posts unless there is something specific you want to address, as we can all see your replies and are alerted when the thread is updated..... just to save yourself the trouble of duplicating posts.

I believe @mikeyB also has chronic pancreatitis whereas @eggyg had surgery to remove part of her pancreas so her experience may be slightly different.

What medication are you on to control your diabetes? Do you have insulin and if so which one(s)? Hopefully you are on a basal/bolus system. Do you have flare ups when things are worse and then periods when it is settled? My mother had several acute pancreatitis events which landed her in ITU but I understand that chronic pancreatitis can occur without you even being aware other than BG levels being less controlled. Hopefully you don't get pain with yours.

Make yourself at home on the forum and if you have any questions, feel free to ask. You might get a whole range of answers but hopefully at least one of them will be helpful.

Welcome to the forum @Corghipax

Glad to have you here!
