Had diabetes since the turn of the century. Originally diagnosed as T2 but now treated as a T1 with insulin only (bit of a beanpole so not a typical T2) Control has generally been OK but falling apart recently, maybe lack of exercise due to C19. Have had some readings in the upper teens which have plummeted to 2.9 in a couple of hours (am using a Freestyle patch at the moment but not all the time as I have to pay for it here.) It's as if the insulin accumulates all day and then suddenly decides to act all at once. Don't think I'm using the same injection site all the time, although i appreciate that could possibly be a cause. Wondering if others have had similar experiences . Ian

Hi @Ian K and welcome to the forum 🙂 I'm a plain old type 2 kept stable by diet and metformin so I have no experience of insulin. There are lots of people who have though, and I'm sure they'll be along shortly.
