Relationship to Diabetes
Type 1
Hello!

My name is Giulia and I have had type 1 diabetes for 7 years now. I'm always learning new things on how to manage it, and I decided to join this forum to get inspired by other people and their ways of solving problems and keeping motivated. At the moment I'm focusing on healthy eating and trying to have at least one meal per day with few carbs. To keep me going, I have started a small blog (https://type1foodies.com/) to keep me going. So far this has helped reducing the highs and lows (fewer instances of wrong insulin calculation!), although I'm still having a good amount of carbs everyday at breakfast to keep me going.
Looking forward to learning from you all!

Giulia

Welcome to the forum @Giulia from a fellow blogger 🙂

Glad you have found a way of eating that suits you. We have all sorts of approaches to carbs represented on the forum, from LCHF snd very low carb atkins-style menus, to moderate and higher carb plans.

It’s important to find a method that suits each individual, and it sounds like you are doing great!

Ever tried having a protein brekkie instead of carb (eg bacon and egg) and noting how much longer it keeps you feeling full?
