If his bloods are at the point of hypoglycaemia, he may well exhibit extreme confusion , extreme behaviour etc etc, you as his carer need to try get some quick acting sugars into him , if he will take.. fun sized can of coke, or 3or 4 jelly babies, then follow it up afterwards with a longer acting carb like whole meal sandwich ,
There may be an imbalance in the insulin he is taking, but would need the insulin users to comment it may be he’s taking too much long acting insulin before bedtime ...there is also a fast acting gel he can squirt into his mouth to alleviate symptoms of his hypoglycaemia called Hypostop or Glucogel...
I’m sure the insulin users will be able to help more...
